Internet/World Wide Web

The internet is a worldwide network that connects to computers to share data and media with other connected devices. The first form of internet was created by Arpa in 1969, which connected universities, government agencies, and defense contractors. Computer scientists Bob Kahn and Vinton Cerf created the internet we use today in 1980 in America.             Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web in 1989 in Switzerland. The World Wide Web is part of the internet that has websites. It was first used to share information between scientists in universities around the world, but now anyone can use it if they can afford.             The internet and the World Wide Web work together. The internet is a network that connects computers, while the World Wide Web is website pages that can be accessed through the internet. The first website was created by Tim Berners-Lee and went live in 1991. It’s still up today. The url is http://info.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/TheProject.html

Hello, I'm Julianne. I'm from Richmond, Virginia and I enjoy drawing, painting, listening to music, and spending time outside. Some of my favorite things are boba tea, aliens, Halloween, and Keanu Reeves. I love antiquing and hope to acquire a collection of antique furniture one day.     I'm excited to dive more into digitally creating and am eager to learn new things. I hope to grasp more of an understanding of digital media by studying and creating engaging projects in this class. I also hope to learn how to be more creative.
